The Decepticons are the single strongest force in the universe. They are composed of warlike, sadistic, power-hungry and hateful separatists who followed Megatron in his pursuit of the Allspark. They prefer brute force over courageous stands, dirty tactics over guile, and shock and awe over search and destroy. One-on-one, they easily slaughter their Autobot counterparts. They possess much more advanced weapons systems and are more well-versed in military strategy. Their disadvantage is that they are less organised than the Autobots due to their inherently hateful and squabbling nature, and the antagonistic relationship between Megatron and his second-in-command Starscream certainly does not help Decepticon unity.

Due to their destructive nature, much of the new technology developed by Decepticon scientists has emphasized the natural advantage of the separatists. The ‘Destroy’ Class of weapons advances beyond proton technology, incorporating Cybertronian mechanics into turrets, cannons, shells, etc. Many Decepticon elite troops have obtained Supreme level weapons, most of which emphasize shutting down enemy robots via fire and overwhelming ordnance. ‘Brimstone and Blood’ Class combat systems are developed specifically for anti-Autobot ground infantry cloaking technology, punishing them with their own weapons by overloading their stealth technology with the Gate Summons Systems (GSS), which destroys circuits with a blast of antimatter from space particles. By far the greatest threat in the Decepticon arsenal is Megatron’s own body: with 90% of the Allspark inside his chest, Megatron has upgraded his structure into a ‘Lord High Protector’ alloy armour, rendering him impervious to all kind of attack and sustaining his body in any condition, whether in Earth or space.
