The Autobot force is composed of primarily civilian volunteers who took up Prime’s directives in countering the Decepticon separatist threat. Initially suffering horrendous losses due to the Decepticon’s sheer power and destructive technology, after a series of defeats, the battle-hardened Autobots adopted a more refined strategy of sabotage, stealth, and coordinated strikes that left the Decepticons far more disorganised and disadvantaged. After several millennia of conflict, the Autobots now work under two factions: Fleet V, a unified strike force of Autobot infantry, naval and aerial forces, and CELESTIAL, the acronym of the Cybertron-Earth Linked Energon-Sharing Treaty and Intelligence Acquisition League, an alliance of Autobots and humans working on all galactic fronts against the Decepticons.

New technology has been developed in the fight against Megatron. Aside from upgrades to their individual weapons, infantry Autobots have acquired the Supersession Colloid technology, a form of optic-disabling ability that jams tracking systems and allows its users to attack and retreat with impunity. The Dragoon 35 ECM Suite is specially developed for most Autobot weapons to disrupt the frequencies of the ‘Destroy’ Class weapons typically used by Decepticons. And by far the most formidable upgrade is on Optimus Prime himself: the ‘Dragon Convoy’ Cybertronian alloy structural armour is forged from the remnants of the Allspark itself, making him radiate gold and silver and essentially rendering him impenetrable to any form of attack, as well as allowing him unsurpassed regeneration in the event he is hit with superweapons.
